Meet Katie Rose

-Artist, Creative Facilitator, and Founder of Meditate and Paint Retreats since 2021. Certified Yoga Teacher 2018. Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Alumni of 2019.

-Inspired by acts of Love, conversations of Faith, and making a mess --with color!

Katie is an artist based in the countryside of Western North Carolina who creates whimsical floral paintings inspired by the meadows and flora around her. Her style is inspired by a long love of colorful geometric patterns found in Moroccan tiles, mandalas, and mosaics—an inspiration that eventually led her to wrapping these patterns around the borders of her canvases in a freer, more expressive way. Her hope is to share bits of joy with hints of color in a world that can sometimes feel a little black and white.

Additionally, she leads Art and Yoga Workshops, combining art and wellness to foster community and personal transformation. She has a deep passion for advocating inside-out change and bringing people together, reminding them of the joy of themselves, and the joy of life.

Her blend of artistry and facilitation makes her not only a visual artist but also an intentional creator of meaningful experiences.

Born and raised in Bethel, Connecticut, she has spent her adult life traveling, learning, and growing through experience and adventure. She has lived along the coast of Southern Maine and in Montana, before settling in Western North Carolina, where she now resides with her fiancé, Will, surrounded by neighborhood farm animals in the calm charm of her favorite nook in the holler, Valley Crucis.

Her Story:

For 15 years, Katie has been a passionate advocate for inside-out transformation. What began in her early 20s as a personal journey through mental, emotional, and physical well-being blossomed into a deep commitment to helping others find joy and healing from the inside-out.

After spending over four years working in the mental health field, Katie began to notice a gap. While the support people received was helping them on the surface, it felt like something deeper was left untouched. For example, the girls she worked with would hesitantly say things like, "I will always be this way" or "I will always need a therapist." Hearing these words hurt to hear knowing that they did have the power to create change in their lives—they just didn’t know it yet.

This gap, combined with Katies heartfelt desire to help people discover their capacity for growth and transformation, led her to create art events that weave together mental health, self-reflection, and creative expression.

Since, she has had the joy of working with diverse groups—women of all ages, teens, and youth—facilitating yoga and art classes that inspire this very thing; to connect and spark inner change. Katie has also partnered with local organizations to spread mental health awareness through art projects, and facilitated community workshops such as Meditate and Paint, combining both yoga as a tool to turn inward and art to express what is found outward.

Katies guiding philosophy, “change begins within,” is at the heart of everything she creates, reminding us that joy, healing, and transformation are always within reach.
