Her Story:

For over 12 years, Katie has been a passionate advocate for inside-out transformation. What began in her early 20s as a personal journey through mental, emotional, and physical well-being blossomed into a deep commitment to helping others find joy and healing from the inside-out.

After spending over four years working in the mental health field, Katie began to notice a gap. While the support people received was helping them on the surface, it felt like something deeper was left untouched. For example, the girls she worked with would hesitantly say things like, "I will always be this way" or "I will always need a therapist." Hearing these words hurt to hear knowing that they did have the power to create change in their lives—they just didn’t know it yet.

This gap, combined with Katies heartfelt desire to help people discover their capacity for growth and transformation, led her to create art events that weave together mental health, self-reflection, and creative expression.

Since, she has had the joy of working with diverse groups—women of all ages, teens, and youth—facilitating yoga and art classes that inspire this very thing; to connect and spark inner change. Katie has also partnered with local organizations to spread mental health awareness through art projects, and facilitated community workshops such as Meditate and Paint, combining both yoga as a tool to turn inward and art to express what is found outward.

Katies guiding philosophy, “change begins within,” is at the heart of everything she creates, reminding us that joy, healing, and transformation are always within reach.

"It has long been a dream of mine to bring people together in a way that's just as colorful, magic-filled, and inspirational as I've always felt life to be. I've connected with some of the deepest parts of myself—beauty, wounds, and all, which has led to my deepened curiosity to seek ways to connect with those around me and all that lies in between, connecting me to life, and the parts that we think we know are there, yet remain unseen—the magic we sometimes feel, but question if it is ever really there at all. With that said and more, I have come to believe know with all my heart, that life is so much more than what we see, and that we are so much more than what we have ever believed. If through my service I can connect people to those same deep spaces within, to those around them, and most of all, all that is Divine about them and the world around us, then I will feel I have fulfilled my hearts deepest desire and my life’s purpose. Because sharing art has never really been about me, and has always, always, been about you."
