Witnessing change in others remains one of Katie’s greatest passions. It is what led her to begin creating experiences that weave together mental health, self-reflection, and creative expression—spaces where people can slow down, listen inwardly, and reconnect with their sense of possibility, agency, and the deeper inner life that guides growth and change.
Since then, she has had the joy of working with diverse groups—women of all ages, teens, and youth—facilitating yoga and art experiences that invite reflection, creativity, and inner awareness. She has also partnered with local organizations to support mental health awareness through creative projects, and facilitated community workshops such as Meditate and Paint, combining mindfulness practices with art as a way of expression and connection.
Katies guiding philosophy, “change begins within,” is at the heart of everything she creates, reminding us that joy, healing, and transformation are always within reach.
Katie is an artist, surface pattern designer, and creator of meaningful experiences based in the countryside of Western North Carolina. Her style is inspired by a long love of colorful patterns found in tiles, mandalas, and mosaics—an inspiration that eventually led her to wrapping these patterns around the borders of her canvases in a freer, more expressive way.
Additionally, she leads Art and Yoga Workshops, weaving together art and wellness to foster community and personal growth.
Raised in a small town in Connecticut, Katie has spent much of her adult life thus far traveling, learning, and growing through experience and adventure.
From living along the coast of Southern Maine, where she fell in love with her work in the mental health field, supporting children, youth, and families in both school-based and home-based settings.
Later leading her west to Montana, where she lived in several corners of the state, including a season in a tiny camper (with no running water!) on the outskirts of Glacier National Park. She also spent time teaching yoga and leading wellness hikes on a Ranch outside of YellowStone National Park before eventually making her way to Western North Carolina.
Today, Katie lives with her husband, Will, and their sweet grey kitty, Blueberry, surrounded by neighborhood farm animals and golden meadows in the charming community of Valle Crucis.
For over 10 years now, Katie has been devoted to inside-out transformation. What began in her early 20s as a personal journey through mental, emotional, and physical well-being gradually became a deeper interest in how people grow, heal, and come back to themselves over time.
This interest was shaped through years of working in the mental health field, where she witnessed both the challenges people carry and the ways they learn to navigate them. She often found herself noticing the quiet space between what someone believed about themselves and what still felt possible for their life.
